Wildfires have started again in Iran’s Hyrcanian forests. Heat, wind, and dry vegetation make the flames spread fast. Fire crews moved quickly to control the new outbreak on the steep slopes near Marzanabad in Chalous.

Local officials say the area is hard to reach. The rocky hills and thick trees slow down ground teams. Helicopters flew from Tehran to support the firefighters. More teams joined to help tired crews who worked for days.

According to a report by ISNA, many protection units, local residents, Basij volunteers, and mountaineers are helping in the operation.

The fire burns inside the UNESCO-listed Hyrcanian forests. These ancient woodlands stretch along the Caspian Sea and cover wide areas of Mazandaran Province. Warm weather, low humidity, and piles of dry leaves increase the risk of new fires.

Environmental experts warn that wildlife is also at risk. They say many species depend on how fast crews can stop the fire.

Authorities in western Mazandaran remain on alert. Small surface fires have appeared in several places, and rising temperatures may cause more flare-ups.
